Immanuel Kant

was a German philosopher who spent his entire life in the East Prussian city of Königsberg, where he wrote one of the most influential works of German philosophy. His thinking is a central building stone of modern philosophy as a whole. In his understanding, it is the human mind that establishes the structure of human experience. His use of the latin phrase sapere aude (dare to know) became the motto of the period of the enlightment as he himself predicted it.
